MUSE PRIME at Cine Gear Expo LA 2026: From Discovery to Hands-On Use

News

ELYSAS brought MUSE PRIME to the Universal Studios Lot for hands-on evaluation and direct conversation with North American cinematography and production professionals.

Los Angeles, June 5–6, 2026—ELYSAS brought the MUSE PRIME large-format cinema-prime series to Cine Gear Expo LA 2026 at the Universal Studios Lot, meeting cinematographers, production professionals, rental specialists, and equipment partners from across the industry.

A Hands-On Exhibition Built Around Production

Cine Gear Expo has long emphasized the practical use of filmmaking technology, giving cinematographers, technicians, manufacturers, and production professionals direct access to the tools they use on set. The 2026 Los Angeles event brought together more than 200 exhibitors and connected the global filmmaking community through demonstrations, technical discussions, and educational seminars.

For ELYSAS, the event marked a new phase for MUSE PRIME. With the lenses now entering production and shipping to customers, cinematographers could mount and operate them firsthand, then evaluate their performance within familiar on-set workflows.

From Image Character to a Professional Cinema-Lens Platform

MUSE PRIME comprises 25, 32, 40, 50, 75, and 100 mm T1.8 lenses, plus a 135 mm T2.8 Macro. Its defining image characteristic is Melted Bokeh, developed through Five-Zone Image Evaluation to balance the resolution demanded by modern production with a more natural, organic rendering.

That image character is supported by a complete professional platform: large-format coverage, a consistent T1.8 aperture from 25 mm through 100 mm, lightweight all-metal construction, a 95 mm front diameter, standardized mechanics, PL and LPL mount options, and near-zero focus breathing.

From Being Seen to Being Used

A cinema lens is ultimately judged not by a specification sheet, but by the creative decisions cinematographers make every day. Los Angeles is home to a concentrated community of cinematographers, production companies, and rental houses, making Cine Gear an important opportunity for direct conversation with North American professionals.

Following MUSE PRIME’s introduction to the U.S. professional imaging community in 2025, Cine Gear Expo LA 2026 marked the next step: moving the lenses from being seen to being used. ELYSAS will continue to refine the system through production experience, cinematographer testing, and ongoing industry feedback.
