Beijing, July 19–20, 2025—ELYSAS presented the MUSE PRIME large-format cinema-prime series at the third CNSC International Film Equipment Exhibition, meeting cinematographers, production professionals, rental companies, and equipment partners.
Direct Dialogue with Professional Cinematographers
Organized by the China Society of Cinematographers, the exhibition brought together cinematographers, manufacturers, rental companies, and production professionals for direct discussion of cinematography, professional equipment, and real-world production needs.
CNSC gave cinematographers a hands-on setting in which to handle the MUSE PRIME lenses and discuss focal-length coverage, mechanics, weight, bokeh, and overall image character.
Putting the Lenses in Cinematographers’ Hands
MUSE PRIME includes 25, 32, 40, 50, 75, and 100 mm T1.8 lenses, plus a 135 mm T2.8 Macro. Its Melted Bokeh approach is built on Five-Zone Image Evaluation, balancing modern resolving power with a natural, organic cinematic rendering.
Rather than evaluating cinema lenses solely through laboratory metrics, ELYSAS believes MUSE PRIME should be judged in production. Feedback on the rendering of people and space, transitions into defocus, and practical handling remains an essential part of the system’s continued development.
The exhibition brought MUSE PRIME into closer conversation with Chinese cinematographers and reinforced a principle central to ELYSAS: a cinema lens must meet demanding technical standards, but it must also serve as an expressive tool for the cinematographer.
