Las Vegas, April 7, 2025—During NAB Show 2025, cinematographer Rodney Charters, ASC, CSC, discovered MUSE PRIME while passing the ELYSAS booth and stopped to learn more about the system’s design and image characteristics.
Direct Feedback from a Working Cinematographer
During the conversation, Charters expressed interest in MUSE PRIME, particularly in the possibility of adding wider focal lengths to the system. For a new lens platform making its public debut, feedback grounded in extensive production experience is especially valuable.
Originally from New Zealand, Charters has worked extensively in film and television and became a member of the American Society of Cinematographers in 2004. His credits include the series 24, which earned him multiple Emmy nominations. In 2013, he received the ASC Career Achievement in Television Award.
Refining the System Through Direct Conversation
MUSE PRIME is ELYSAS’s large-format cinema-prime system for professional production. This brief, spontaneous exchange gave the team valuable perspective on focal-length coverage. As the lenses enter more production environments, ELYSAS will continue listening to cinematographers and refining both image performance and practical handling.
